The transition period for the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union is coming to an end.  If you are an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen you may need to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme for settled or pre-settled status in order to continue living and working as a self-employed person in the UK.

You may need to apply even if you:
 

• were born in the UK but are not a British citizen
• have a UK ‘permanent residence document’
• are a family member of an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen who does not need to apply
• are an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen with a British citizen family member
